Hello, my name is Mahbubur Rahman, although I am known as Mash and I am very happy for everyone to call me Mash. I am delighted to have recently joined Neatishead Community Gym as a instructor, supporting and supervising the gym’s morning sessions.

I am a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor and run my own personal training business, Maaar Fitness. I have worked in the fitness industry for several years, including as a Fitness Advisor and Personal Trainer at PureGym from 2021 to 2022. Since 2022, I have also worked as a Group Exercise instructor at the University of East Anglia (UEA), a role I continue alongside my personal training work.

My approach to fitness is friendly, supportive and encouraging. I believe exercise should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age, previous experience or current fitness level. I particularly enjoy getting to know people, understanding what they want to achieve and helping them exercise safely and effectively - whether their goal is to improve strength, mobility, general fitness and confidence, or simply to enjoy being more active.

At Neatishead Community Gym, I will be on hand to support members with their exercise programmes, demonstrate exercises and equipment, provide guidance on correct technique and encourage everyone as they work towards their individual goals. I will also help welcome and induct new members into the gym. These are key parts of my instructor role.

One of the things I particularly like about Neatishead Community Gym is its inclusive, welcoming and positive approach, which very much reflects the way I like to work with people.

I am really looking forward to getting to know the members and becoming part of the local community. So, when you see me at the gym, please come over and say hello and just call me Mash!
